Through the Daring to Share Education Advocacy campaign we invite you to learn how to navigate the complex spectrum of elder care—not only for your loved ones now, but also for you later.
The second component is the Daring to Share Your Advocacy Story, with the opportunity to anonymously share a caregiver story—comfortable or uncomfortable—about how you advocated for a loved one through a crisis involving Canada's long-term care system.
Our goal is to collect, compile, and send the anonymous stories to our political leaders and decision-makers as an impactful statement validating what is working in our long-term care system, what is not, and what needs immediate repair, including supporting the staff and management teams immersed in it's chaos in order to provide compassionate, resident focused care.
We are combining education and storytelling to create informed advocacy while encouraging constructive conversations that can lead to meaningful change. We need your help on our quest to transform silence into change.
Important Privacy, Confidentiality, and Approval Information
Strict Confidentiality: All personal details—including your name, email address, location, and identifiable information—will remain entirely confidential. Your story will never be shared without your explicit consent.
Anonymity & Legal Safeguards: If you participate in this storytelling campaign, minor edits may be made to your story (such as removing specific names, businesses, or locations) to protect the privacy of all involved parties and comply with legal guidelines. We request that you not include individuals' names, facility names, or cities.
Submission Approval: By submitting your story, you are providing appoval for Daring to Share Global to anonymously share your story with Canadian provincial & federal politicial leaders/decision makers. We need your contact information below to submit your story and to reach out to you for approval should we choose to publish a book in the future to create more visibility about our long-term care crisis.
